We’re taking a closer look at Mevo+, giving you the key data parameters to get ahead, dreaming of visiting the perfectly manicured and picturesque Augusta course, and sharing the best home workouts for golfers.
Tech
We are obsessed with Mevo+ – and for good reason. With nine more data parameters than the Mevo, this 3D doppler radar launch monitor can track club head speed, spin rate, total distance, roll distance, lateral landing, smash factor, and more. Use the FS Golf App to record, clip, and save your videos with data overlay for a clear image of how you can improve. With the addition of the IOS simulation software package you’ll also get 6 simulated golf courses including Aviara, Stone Canyon, Wade Hampton, Sanctuary, Bay Hill and the Belfry as well as 17 practice ranges, a darts mini game and access to on-line events. Use the real time performance data to help you practise with each of your clubs in your own home – but also at the range, and on the course.
Places
Keeping a goal in mind is the ideal way to maintain your progress – so why not plan your dream round? You’ll find Augusta on many top 10 and top 100 lists, and with good reason. Home to the Masters, Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia was designed by a duo: expert golf professional Bobby Jones, and world-famous golf course architect Alister MacKenzie. The course is often called the ‘world’s most exclusive club’, with closely manicured turf, tall pines and flashes of white sand, giving Augusta a clean and picturesque appearance.
People:
A PGA professional for 18 years, Richard Strange now helps budding golfers get started and experienced golfers take their game to the next level. As head professional at Chevin Golf Club, he uses the best tech in the business to help his clients reach new heights. After each lesson, student golfers receive in-depth analysis from tech such as Flightscope, which he uses to create a tailored plan.
Fitness:
If you’re out all day on the course, you might not always fancy a trip to the gym too. Here’s where home workouts come in. With no kit, or very little, you will be able to train the muscles you need to remain mobile, stable, and injury free. Exercises that are great for home workouts as golfers are split squats, push ups, and deadbugs. Perform each movement for 10-15 reps, 2-3 times depending on your fitness and time available.
